Life Skills Vocabulary Practice
Heather Turngren has been teaching an ELL Level 2 Class for the last two years and used the language use and reading skills of the learners as a marker for the "low-level" learner.
The web-site hosts images and audio that are part of the curriculum and vocabulary in low-level ELL classes. As part of the grant proposal, it was intended that on a dedicated website learners would be able to click on an image and hear spoken English telling them the word for the image.
The website has six modules. These include body/healthcare; places; action verbs; fruits and vegetables; prepositions of place; and weather and season. The modules are located on the web at http://abeell.mpls.k12.mn.us
